Cherry bonbon

As you may know me and my friend Irina Voorhees are working in our own pin-up boutique. It is called "Cherry Shop". Why did it get exactly this name? The answer is very simple: can you imagine something more seductive than cherry? ;) Perhaps someone will object that strawberries, especially in combination with champagne or cream, have long been a symbol of temptation. But we prefer more refined, elegant and less straightforward symbols of seduction. After all, a true vintage style is far from the vulgarity and simplicity. Recall at least the famous trick with cherry by Audrey Horne from the cult TV series "Twin Peaks". Surely most of the male population was breathtaking from that interaction with berries! In addition, the fabric with cherries has become one of the most recognizable symbols of the pin-up style. And if we play a little bit more with the symbols, you may notice that the cherries are usually depicted two on the twig - so we are working on different projects side by side together for many years :) Like this! I think the history of our shop name went too long, and therefore need to be brief,  so we are passing you a piece of summer and kisses xoxox 

On Tuesday we wear pink

I thought that special attention should be paid to the wonderful dress from the previous post. This dress is "Tuesday" from Lindy Bop. Naturally, I have long been familiar with this brand, and sell their products in my store. But when it came to me personally I was unable to pick up something perfect. The thing is that high waisted clothes don't fit me categorically. And the range of Lindy Bop on 90% consists of such items... I have started to think that is something wrong with my body, when I suddenly saw "Tuesday." This dress looked extremely cute and waist was in the right place. However, there was one doubt. From an early age I had a prejudice against pink. You know, it always associates with Barbie and silly schoolgirls >_< So it took all my stock of courage to finally order it. And guess what? I have never regretted about my decision! Of course, I needed a certain amount of time to get used to a new image. But the result is pleasing me. It was also a very big fun to pick up the suitable accessories. Since this dress evokes candy associations in me, I chose no less sweet handbag in the form of a cake, white petticoat and vintage coral shoes. The magenta peony became the cherry on top of this outfit. I guess it's not difficult to believe that I feel incredibly happy in it. And still a bit schoolgirl... Perhaps that is why I was so drawn to the theme parks lately :D

Starcon 2015

How much time has passed since my last post! It is not that nothing was happening, but there is some mess in my mind and I can not connect two words >_< But something is definitely worthy of mention! I'm talking about STARCON 2015.  It's a great festival of fiction, cinema and science. There were thousands of characters - from Mario to Jesus Christ. Since I am a big fan of The Elder Scrolls, most of my time was spent on embracing with Argonians and Khajiits. Please forgive me, the rest of the beautiful cosplayers! (Just make a reservation, I looked simply awful there)

Today I would like to share with you a few thoughts on the retro image of a modern girl. Since I have been selling clothing and accessories in the style of the 50s, I often encounter with the girls, who want to sound like a pretty pin-up beauties of the past. Especially since this is now in vogue. Most often, they simply buy a dress in vintage style, so as not to complicate the task of finding and combination of separates. However, almost no one thinks that this is not enough! 50's style is very multi-layered and full of a variety of items from accessories to shoes. I want to show you on own example how difficult and really exciting at the same time to create a complete image of the different elements. 

For a long time I was crazy about a stunning mint green cardigan by Voodoo Vixen. And of course I ordered it at the first opportunity! But when  I've got it, I realized that absolutely can not find a worthy couple... It spent a few months in my closet until I accidentally stumbled upon a lovely skirt by Zara that is coming to the cardigan tone on tone. 

The next step was the purchase of shoes suited to this tender set. Here I was lucky enough and found a charming little vintage shoes with a small heel that look incredibly feminine.

Usually I wear a little black bag that is fitting almost all clothes. But in this case the black color seemed to me to be too heavy. However, to find something proper was quite simple - and here I am, the happy owner of a charming handbag  in retro style with a cute bow.

To complete the look I needed only accessories. I've chosen wide pink belt and two pairs of hair flowers - green and white orchids. The image has been finished! And I must say that each time appearing in this kit on public, I get a lot of attention and compliments :)

In conclusion I want to say that before buying anything, always think how you will assemble it, this is a very important aspect. And be sure to check out the page of Voodoo Vixen, it is a really good brand, representing a variety of comfy and beautiful clothes.

Indications start to shine: сloud nine – white line – this time I’m on adrenaline!

It seems that since we organized "Rebel Dolls" my destiny  is permanently interwined with bikes. This time I was lucky to see and touch the chic and aristocratic power of motorcycle brand "Triumph". They are simply magnificent! We shot a small set in their salon  for the calendar of one famous café . Wait for details;)

So, my dear friends, what's new happening here?

May 26th has been one of the most beautiful and extraordinary days of my life! It was the day Nick Cave gave a concert in St.Petesburg. You know, the last six months his music played a very important role for me. The night before the concert I slept very bad and terribly worried. There was a feeling that I'm going on a first date XD I wanted to look like something special. So I chose a black pencil dress with cherry print, high-heeled shoes and fasinator with a veil. I came to the concert hall one hour before the show. A small crowd of fans has been waiting for Nick at the stage door and I joined them. It seems to me, it took 70 minutes until the car with musicians appeared. Unfortunately Nick just waved his hand and left. But I realized that my legs are literally fall off due to uncomfortable shoes. Fortunately, the concert was supposed to be a chamber, and I had a ticket for a seat. Someone caught me in the crowd waiting for King Ink:

Finally the show started. Nick came out, greeted the audience and played one of his slow songs. What was my surprise when, at the beginning of the second song, half of the audience stood up from their seats and rushed to the scene! I thought that this was my chance too and ran after them. So after doing this I was two-three meters away from the scene. Nick was simply divine! He was in contact with the audience constantly, shaking hands with everyone, communicate with us, joked, danced. Meanwhile, my feet again made themselves felt. Well, I couldn't think of anything better than simply take off my shoes :) Yes, I was at the concert of Nick Cave barefoot!  I hope it was dark enough and no one saw... I was absolutely happy to be much closer to Nick than originally expected. But those people who bought very expensive tickets to the first row - not at all. They asked the guards to disperse those who hindered them watching.  Security began to press people, but instead of getting away from the scene, I was even closer! But...my dress was torn...Whoops! So, I'm standing barefoot and in tattered clothes in one meter away from Maestro. Well done! I thought, ok, I have nothing to lose. And start my path towards Nick. In the end I found myself in the front row! Hell, this worth it all! Goodness, I feel dizzy at the thought that King Ink was even holding my hand!  I was the happiest person on earth! Nick Cave is a real magician or shaman. His ritual movements fascinate. And what's make me more happier is that at the end of the show I was able to get the paper with set list! So, my legs hurt terribly and clothing was damaged, but I touched the cold hand of Nick, received a present and heard my favorite songs! I'm in love!  After the show, I was trembling from overstimulation and could not stop. Again I slept very bad, and the morning after was feeling just awful. The tale was over. If you will allow me to compare Nick Cave with drugs, he is definitely heroin. Mad euphoria and grave condition after. I swear, I even felt pain. Now I like learning to live again. Everything falls into place. Nevertheless, I repeat, it was one of the brightest days of my life...

Black forest, silver tree

Such a cold spring in Russia, you just can not imagine! My dream is to wander through the woods, run a hand over the soft moss, smell the heather... From these visions of summer grew up my elven clothing collection, which I called "Earth Spirit". It is dominated by the colors of forests around my hometown: dark green, black, brown.
