I long to be by the sea where a blossom falls from a cherry tree

Phew ... These were insanely busy weeks! I finally started to visit the gym and  get fit for summer. Merciful Lord, make it so that all the cookies gone of the world!... Of course I'm kidding. Now my shops and preparations for the new season  interest me most of all. A couple of weeks ago Rebel Dolls participated in the fashion show of dresses from my pin-up store "Cherry Shop". It was a great event with jazz music and dancing. Finally, I got photos from there!

Paradise place

Our trip to India ended on the Andaman Islands. It's tiny pieces of land, lost in the middle of the Indian Ocean. They are not even one of the states of India, they are Union Territory. Few manage to get here. Planes fly hither only from Indian metropolises and the ferry goes only from Calcutta. Travellers need to receive a special permit in the capital of Andamans - Port Blair. But it's all worth it! Now I'm sure that if somewhere on Earth there is Heaven - it's located in here. But the beauty of these islands is beyond words. The best I can do - to show you some pictures.

I spent my twenty-fifth birthday  diving to the depth of 10 meters. Amazing underwater world, which I've seen, became the pearl of this year. Myriads of shimmering and iridescent fishes, corals, shells and turquoise water captivated my heart. The new plan for the future is to receive diver certificate. 

It was a little painful to leave this paradise beauty and return to the gray days. I decided to make a mehendi to have at least a couple of weeks with India next to me. The patterns on my hands - the best symbol of this country. Sophisticated, ornate, delicate and staggering. They surprise and attract attention. Not everyone is willing to share it's beauty. But we need to learn to see finest in outlandish and bizarre things in our little world full of cultural diversity.

Dear friends! With great delay congratulate you on Happy New Year! May this year be bright, warm and unforgettable.  As for me, I have summed up the results of the past year.

The most important thing for me is that a loved one was near. Whatever we do, no matter how adventurous were plans crowded in my head, he always supported me. 

We traveled a lot - and this is one of the greatest things for me. This year we visited Estonia, Finland, Turkey and India. Not so much as we would like, but still something. New Year`s Tallinn is a fabulous place, and Finland in my mind will always be a fantastic country with green forests inhabited by elves. Turkey has been a real surprise for me. This country has an incredibly rich cultural heritage and unspeakable natural beauty. As for India, then it is not a secret that I'm in love with this beautiful, soulful and slightly crazy country. Nature, religion, people - all of it is a mystery to me and the object of attraction. 

Another achievement - graduation. Now I am a certified cultural scientist! However, I'm going to continue  my education, but more on that in due time. 

I stand at the base of two stores in St. Petersburg. "Forest Shop" - is clothing for the elves, incense and various oddities from Asia. "Cherry shop" - dresses, hats, gloves and more for lovers of vintage fashion. I actively develop both directions. With our shops we have traveled several festivals, participated in the parties. This is a new invaluable experience! 

I joined the pin-up project Rebel Dolls, who opened me up and introduced to a new world. I found new friends, co-starred in the music video and numerous photo shoots, many years after the last experience participated in the organization of parties. It was hilarious! 

So this year was definitely cheerful and productive. I hope the new year will bring even more wonders! Therefore, pour yourself a cup of fragrant tea and enjoy! =*

Finally, the video that we shot in November saw the light! Ladies and gentlemen, I present to your attention music video of Evil Jokers involving Rebel Dolls! A little bit nightmares on Monday morning still will not hurt anyone ^_^

Bastards from the underground

In early November Rebel Dolls starred in the music video of the St. Petersburg psychobilly band "Evil Jokers". The action took place in an abandoned industrial building, where, according to the plot, the vocalist gets into one of his nightmares. There he met with various horror characters: sinister bloody doctor, a maniac with a chainsaw and a murderous zombie bitches! Guess, who performed their role?!;) 

It was my first role, so I have no idea what will happen at the outlet :) But one thing is for sure: it was insanely fun! The shooting process  is a very tedious thing, but it goes unnoticed, if you are surrounded by friends.

 

Premiere of the clip is scheduled for December 5th, and in honor of this we will have a party. Unfortunately I can't visit it, because at this point I will be abroad, but more on that later;) I hope that everyone will have an excellent time at the event and will not laugh too loudly over our acting abilities :D

Wonderful life

Sweet November outside. Last leaves have already fallen down from the trees. Strolling along the park in the morning I'm enjoying the last rays of the sun on my face. Whitish frost covers the grass and the ice has begun to constrain water. It seems that with the last flocks of birds my soul is  flying away. Soon  there will come  the endless black nights and I will enter into the period of melancholy and screeching halt. Inaction, passivity and unwillingness to do  or to change anything haunt me in the winter. So now, in a season that inspires me the most, I have to do the maximum! In plans there are articles, notes, long letters, and many other things that have long been waiting for me on the writing table. Autumn, don't leave me...

She's in parties

On Friday, November 17 was held the first party of Rebel Dolls - "Rebel Night." This gig was dedicated to the birth of our project and the celebration of the birthday of one of our girls - Miss Christine! Despite the fact that this is our first event - the club was packed with guests. Almost whole rockabilly hangout of our city danced with us that night :) We spent a lot of pin-up contests, listened to the best hits and had fun until the morning. It sounds crazy, but we even had a limbo! :)
