Audrey's dance

Recent days have been associated with a lot of work, reading, various searches. My work now has two directions. The first is  University. Second - the newly opened by me and my beautiful friend Irina Internet shop with pin up, retro and gothic clothing. We named it "Cherry shop" and this is our cute logo:

Communication with customers, order processing, design of Internet space - all it takes a lot of time. But it's very interesting and I do not notice how my day flies by! Unfortunately :) Beautiful people and beautiful things - this combination inspires me to great deeds!

However, in the evening, when I find myself at home with a loved one and together we prepare a vegetarian supper - I rest for real. My evening is now once again filled with masterpiece of David Lynch. Of course I'm talking about Twin Peaks. This is my favorite movie and I can watch it countless times. Color, staged frames, nature, characters and their strangeness - all combine to create an unreal world of dreams. Oh, how I wish one day to visit this town, to admire its waterfall and to taste famous Norma's pie with a cup of black coffee! But among other things, one of the main ornaments of this film is the music of Angelo Badalamenti. He managed to create an incredibly sophisticated musical canvas and it's an integral part of the whole. For the past few days in my head sounds composition titled Audrey's dance and I see how delightfully elegant and sexy is dancing my favorite  heroine in cafe "RR".

So I feel like involved in the life of this strange and magical town, where evil spirits live in the forest. I'm as Laura Palmer, doing something good in the day time but at night the dark forces overwhelm me. Maybe I should go to work in the One-Eyed Jack?)

Flowers of the sea

Hello friends. It has been nearly two weeks since I made the last post. The matter is that I travel around the country located between Europe and Asia. Of course this is Turkey - a country of dervishes and flowering pomegranates. I lived on the shores of the Mediterranean sea, surrounded by picturesque rocks and exotic flowers, and every day was filled with eastern languor and  flavors of spices.

In the first days of my journey Poseidon was fearsome and we had seen only the gloomy face of him, but over time the weather improved and we had a chance to admire the azure expanse of water. Our first outing was a trip to Kaleici - the old town of Antalya. This is a magical place where old fortress walls went down to the shore, wooden ships moored and by  the cobbled streets goes the army of fluffy cats.

When we were a little accustomed to the unfamiliar country we took a two-day trip to the Mira, where we have seen the sarcophagus of Saint Nicholas. Then we sailed on  the boat to the sunken  after the earthquake antique city Kekova.

With the first rays of the sun of the second day we went to explore the ancient necropolis of Hierapolis and  the wonder of nature - Pamukkale.

Pamukkale - a world-famous source of calcium waters, which for centuries flowed down the mountain forming a white terraces. Looking at this magic impossible to believe that this is not done by human hands.

The rest of our ten-day trip we spent exploring the magnificent mountains, which lie along the coast. We made the climb to the top of the mountain Tahtalı by the longest cableway in Europe. Hovering over coniferous forests at the height of bird flight was something unforgettable. While down on the earth reigned heat, the top of the mountain was covered with snow and clouds surrounded me on all sides! Since childhood, I dreamed of  touching the cloud by my hands and so it happened, can you believe it! And the scenery we saw can only be compared with Nepal or Tibet.

Peak of our vacation was the trip to the canyon Goynuk - one of the most beautiful places I've ever seen. We said goodbye to the magnificent view of the sea and set off on foot towards adventure. We walked about 15-20 km and were incredibly tired, but I don't regret at all, because what we have seen is really priceless. Mountain trails, gorges, waterfalls overgrown by ferns - it was more like a fairyland than reality.

To tell the truth, Turkey was not in my top list of countries to visit. Yes, it is famous for its antiquities and certainly I really wanted to visit places such as the Neolithic settlement of Catal Hüyük and Troy, but I always put it back on later. A real Turkey taught me a good lesson. Its nature is truly magical and I fell in love with the mountains as never before. People in this country know how to live in harmony with the world and we have much to learn from them. Turkey is bright and varied as its spices and I hope I will have the opportunity to taste it again.

What happened to the beauty I had inside of me

Spring has finally done its job. My head is full of amorous charms ^^ But not everything is so simple! The fact is that the attraction for me is in the mind - I'm sapiosexual. The main thing  I'm interested in  is the inner world, worldview, imagination. So very often I fall in love with people whose appearance is far from the standards of beauty. Especially often the objects of my passion are scholars and experts in ancient languages ^^  At different times I was also crazy about Hoffmann, Baudelaire, Eliade and others  and the fact that the majority of the finest men have already died  drives me into depression. Another important thing: because for me the main thing is the soul, I absolutely indifferent in whose body it is enclosed. I mean that to me men and women are equally attractive. Someone calls it bisexuality, but for me it is included in the concept sapiosexual. What do you think it's crazy, sinful or normal thing?)

It's not necrophilia if you're dead too

Too much light! I love the sun, but the first rays of spring, so bright and hot, make me hide in the shadows. The first thing I do when I get home - close all the curtains to stay in the dark and get rid of the pain in my eyes. One crazy thought has arisen in my head - can I become a vampire?:) This is my biggest dream since childhood, hee-hee :) It inspired me to watch old gold films with my favorite classical heroines: Morticia Addams, Lily Munster amd Vampira. Nevertheless, my appearance of the last days is more suitable for Elvira ;) What do you think, what kind of image is more like for me? V~V

From the brightest star comes the blackest hole - You had so much to offer why did you offer your soul?

I'm probably the last person who hasn't written about this masterpiece by Jim Jarmusch. I'm not so often make posts about movies, but here I can't be silent. This film is firmly holding me in his arms, squeezing, preventing thoughts about anything else. The last time such a strong feeling I had only from some works of David Lynch. And now here it is again. It's incredibly deep, powerful film, with lots of hidden symbols and subtle allusions. Twilight, languid music, vampire theme, stunning images - that's what comes to mind when trying to describe it. The story told by Jarmusch seems so real, that while watching you literally feel the oriental flavors of Morocco and the stale air of Detroit. This is the best vampire movie of the last 15 years, and I believe it will become a cult classic along with "Hunger" and other legends of cinema. Tilda Swinton is beautiful as ever, and Tom Hiddleton really broke my heart by his gloomy Byronical image and unforgettable sad green eyes...

The Writing on My Father's Hand

Hooray! On April 21 in the journal of  University of Culture and Art will be published my first two research papers. I waited for this moment for so long! ^^ The first of them is available in the section on the history of art. It's "Tirthankaras image in Jain sculptural tradition". This article is dedicated to an undoubtedly important theme – the analysis of the Jain sculptural tradition. The author touches upon a new issue for the Russian science – semantics of sculpture in Jainism. Despite that the article does not pretend to present a comprehensive description of this cultural phenomenon, the scientific novelty of this work is that the author treats the subject with facts not previously published in the works of other researchers.

The second article is called "Acharya Mahapragya: the second Gandhi" and located in the section of socio-cultural activities. I wrote it in honor of the great Jain teacher. And this is the beginning of the article: "The problem of violence is as high as ever in today’s society, we need only to recall the recent events in Iraq and Syria. They talk a lot on this subject, but few have made concerted action to address it. This paper considers the problem of violence, as it is understood in Jain religious community, and what are the ways to solve it, offered by Acharya Mahapragya to humanity, regardless of religion and national origin". When I read an introduction, I begin to realize how ironic is fate.  These words were written last fall, when the aggressor in the political sphere were U.S. Now everything has been turned upside down and our government's actions make me blush. I never wanted to write in this blog about politics, but I must tell the world that local people in Russia do not approve words of our president. We do not want war, we do not need other people's land, we want only peace. So please do not judge us, we are behind the iron wall in a desperate situation. I hope I will not be forced to raise this issue again...

Let's go back to my research! Very soon, my thesis will be finally ready and I would like to offer you a few photos of Jain temples, which were made by me in India. I hope you'll get pleasure from this exotic, spiritual, and vital art :)

Just imagine that a few years of your life you spent studying something very distant and finally you had the opportunity not only to see it firsthand, but also touch! I felt like Indiana Jones when I first walked through the ancient Jain temples :)

I sit and soak up the positive vibes around :)

The most beautiful temple on this earth - the temple at Ranakpur!

Three floors of the finest carvings on marble. Thus can be decorated only celestial palace.

It is a magical tree that grants wishes. I believe that my wish will come true!
